We believe every collector deserves to know whether demand for their card is rising or falling before they decide to sell, hold, or grade it. That information exists — in search data, in social conversations, in sales velocity — but it's scattered, delayed, and buried in noise.
We built Dugout Vault to aggregate those signals into a single, actionable number: the CardPulse™ Demand Score.
The sports card hobby has exploded. Prices move fast, new products drop constantly, and player performance can reprice a collection overnight. But the tools most collectors use to track value were built for a slower era: eBay sold listings, static price guides, subreddit posts, and gut instinct.
None of those tell you whether demand is building right now — which is the only question that matters when you're deciding whether to pull the trigger on a card.
That's the gap Dugout Vault fills.
Dugout Vault was founded by Allen Hamric. For Allen, card collecting started as something he shared with his son — a father-son tradition of sorting through packs together, hunting for favorites, and learning what makes a card special. That experience made the hobby personal in a way that went beyond prices.
It also made the lack of good tools frustrating in a very specific way: he wasn't just making decisions for himself. Allen built Dugout Vault to be the tool he always wished existed — one that any collector, whether you're just starting out with your kid or deep in the hobby for decades, can use to make smarter decisions about the cards you care about.
We're pre-revenue, collector-first, and currently in invite-only beta. We're building in public and making decisions that are good for the hobby, not just good for the business.
