Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 25, 2026

Effective Date: Upon public launch of dugoutvault.com

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dugout Vault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Dugout Vault is a web-based analytics platform for sports card and trading card collectors. The Service provides card search, collection management, AI-powered card scanning, and the CardPulse™ Demand Score — a proprietary composite score reflecting real-time market signals for individual trading cards.

Dugout Vault is currently in invite-only beta. Features and availability may change at any time during the beta period.

3. Account Registration

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your password, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

During the beta period, registration requires a valid invite code or pre-approved email address. Invite codes are non-transferable and single-use.

4. Subscription Terms

Dugout Vault offers Free, Collector, Pro, and Dealer subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without written permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or algorithms
  • Use automated tools to access or interact with the Service at scale
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Submit false or misleading information

6. Intellectual Property

The Dugout Vault platform, including the CardPulse™ Demand Score algorithm, formula, weights, signal methodology, and all associated software, is our proprietary intellectual property. "Dugout Vault," "CardPulse™," and "Vault Value™" are trademarks of Dugout Vault.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as card images). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use that content to provide and improve the Service, including to build our shared card image catalog.

7. CardPulse™ Demand Score Disclaimer

The CardPulse™ Demand Score reflects current market signals and is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or grade any collectible. Dugout Vault makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the Demand Score.

Sports card values are volatile and can change rapidly due to player performance, market conditions, and other factors outside our control. You use the Demand Score at your own risk.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including eBay (market data), Stripe (payments), and Google Cloud (AI scanning). Use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dugout Vault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion with 30 days' notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us through the Support page.
