Key Players to Chase
The Series 2 checklist balances active superstars, all-time legends, and the newest wave of rookies. Here's who to watch across each tier:
Active Superstars
All-Time Legends (inserts & parallels)
Rising Rookies & Future Stars
2025 World Series Champions (LA Dodgers)
A dedicated championship subset honors the 2025 Dodgers title run. Hyeseong Kim confirmed; full roster TBD at release.
Insert Sets
Inserts are non-base cards with unique designs. They fall at specific rates and often have their own parallel rainbow. Short prints (SSP) are the toughest to pull — treat them as case-level chases.
1991 Topps Baseball (35th Anniversary)
All formatsThrowback to the iconic 1991 design and the most common insert in the set — 1:4 packs Hobby, 1:1 Jumbo. Crackle Foil parallels (1:4) are exclusive to Mega boxes. Junk-wax-era nostalgia at its finest.
1991 Topps All-Star Baseball
All formatsAll-Star subset on the same retro 1991 template. Falls at the same clip — 1:4 Hobby, 1:1 Jumbo — with Mega-only Crackle Foil parallels.
Glove Work
All formatsDefense-themed insert celebrating elite glovework. A common pull at 1:6 Hobby / 1:2 Jumbo, with a full foil parallel rainbow (Pink, Blue, Green, Gold, and up).
Crooked Numbers
All formatsBig-stat-line theme. 1:16 Hobby / 1:4 Jumbo, with a deep foil parallel rainbow running up to a 1/1 Foilfractor.
Stars of MLB
RetailRetail-focused insert featuring recognizable stars — essentially retail-only (Hobby does not carry it). Crackle Foil parallels in Mega. Wide availability makes it the entry-point insert.
Golden Mirror Image Variations
Hobby/JumboPhoto-variation chase on the base design at 1:718 Hobby / 1:216 Jumbo. A rarer Legend version drops around 1:28,000 Hobby.
Heavy Lumber
SSPWood-grain card stock highlighting elite power hitters. A genuine short print at 1:2,800 Hobby / 1:840 Jumbo — with rare autograph relic variations (1:7,325 Hobby).
Home Field
SSPCity-themed background art tied to each player's home market. One of the most visually creative inserts and a true short print: 1:3,499 Hobby / 1:1,050 Jumbo. Case-level chase.
All Aces
SSPPlaying-card-inspired showcase for elite pitchers. The toughest insert in the set at roughly 1:14,000 Hobby — effectively a case-level (or rarer) pull.
Autographs & Relics
Flagship doesn't promise a hit in every box — the released odds make that clear. In Hobby, even the most common autograph (1991 Topps Autos) lands about 1 in 346 packs, so plan on roughly one auto or relic every 3–4 boxes. Jumbo (HTA) carries the same hit pool at far friendlier odds. Here's the full hit pool with official Hobby / Jumbo pack odds, ordered from most to least common:
On-card autos on the retro 1991 design — the most common signature in the set. Hobby 1:346 · Jumbo 1:36.
The core flagship autograph program across active stars. Deep color rainbow up to Platinum. Hobby 1:675 · Jumbo 1:34.
Game-used memorabilia swatch — the most common relic type and the most likely non-auto hit. Hobby 1:148 · Jumbo 1:47.
The classic on-card "Real One" signature on the base design. Hobby 1:1,114 · Jumbo 1:269.
Signed All-Star subset on the 1991 template. Hobby 1:1,570 · Jumbo 1:379.
Dual hit — on-card signature plus a memorabilia patch, with Bronze/Black/Red/Platinum tiers. Hobby 1:2,453 · Jumbo 1:693.
Auto + relic combo on the memorabilia design. Hobby 1:4,037 · Jumbo 1:972.
Auto relic version of the wood-grain Heavy Lumber insert. Hobby 1:7,325 · Jumbo 1:1,825.
Signatures celebrating October standouts. Hobby 1:7,433 · Jumbo 1:1,791.
Autographs honoring the 2025 World Series champion Dodgers. Hobby 1:18,011 · Jumbo 1:4,359.
On-card autos on the iconic 1952 Topps design — a premium chase. Hobby 1:63,972 · Jumbo 1:15,259.
Signed cards for players who have fronted flagship boxes over the decades. Hobby 1:81,948 · Jumbo 1:19,800.
Two signatures on one card — one of the rarest hits in the set at roughly 1:252,100 Hobby.
